Sunday, 22nd November 2009 - A few drinks and some Thai boxing

We went up a very winding set of stairs to find the only roof top bar in Koh Phi Phi, the Banana bar. Her we indulged in several 'buckets' of Long Island Ice Tea. After those we met the girls from the boat and progressed onto Strawberry Dacquaries. Once suitably fresh we moved onto the Ragae bar, yes another Regai bar, but this one had a Thai boxing ring in the middle.
We settled down into our ringside seats with our Buckets. The idea is people volunteer to 'Thai box' each other for a free bucket of alcohol. Obviously non of us volunteered. When we arrived, which was about 10pm there was two children in the ring, between the ages of 4-6. They were dressed in the Thai boxing gear and were 'play' fighting. Everyone in the bar was cheering and taking pictures (me included) but it didn't sit too comfortably, especially when after the 'play' fight they where ushered around the ring to collect 'tips'.

We watched a few people fight and can now leave Thailand saying we saw a Thai boxing match. After this we went to the Ibiza bar on the beach and danced and drank the night away there.
